Research Statement

About Me:

Economics:
I am a public economist, and my research focuses on households taxation. I use and I contribute to the microsimulation software OpenFisca. I now have a thorough knowledge of the French tax-benefit system, as well as French administrative household databases.
I also have interest towards equality of opportunity issues, determinants of fertility, and the timing of taxation. Please browse the "Research" section to know more about my projects.
Python and Data Science:
During my PhD, I invested in modern data science tools which are becoming common standards in the industry. I conduct my analysis using Python, especially Pandas and the Statsmodels packages. This allows me to work efficiently on medium size (up to 20 Go) complex administrative databases.
Moreover, I think that the usage of open-source software is critical for research reproducibility in economics which reinforces my confidence in the choice of these tools.
